Fox game fox game fox game. So in this game you play as a fox, and this makes me happy because I like foxes, foxes are the best little critters, and I may or may not be a fox irl writing game reviews by bashing my pointy snoot against the keyboard. That being said:

Still here?
So like Outer Wilds, this game is about adventure, exploration, and knowledge, though unlike Outer Wilds, this game actually does have actual items to collect that can help you in your quest, as well as zelda-like dungeons, and some relatively tricky combat, including difficult fights. I’ve heard this game be described as “Zelden Ring,” if that helps. That being said, once you learn the boss patterns, you’ll be able to beat every boss with relative ease, and if they’re still causing trouble, there are some accessibility assist options that can help you, with no penalty for using them. The game’s aesthetic and music direction are just beautiful and are really worth experiencing first hand if nothing else.
The game starts off telling you nothing. You’re a small fox who has nothing and who wakes up on a beach, left to explore, and pretty early on you’ll find something, a piece of paper? It looks like a page from an old 1970s NES game manual, but it feels like it’s not written for you to read, have you ever bought a foreign version of a game and tried to play that, or tried to play an RPG while you were super young and didn’t really understand what most of the words said, but you could recognise stuff here and there. It feels exactly like that. Don’t worry though, there are just enough bread crumbs and pictographs in the pages you find that you’ll be able to complete the game without needing to understand a single thing about the in-game language.
Anyways, I’ve already said way too much about this game, so I’ll just stop here and tell you to go play it yourself!
